Team Approach: Child, Family, and School Success

Go out into nature and explore with children.  It is good to follow their interest and build your lessons around them.  They need to be invested.

Wow, imagine the potential.  We can practice sorting by size, shape, and color.  Build without boundaries.

Modeling is good; however we need to let children use hands-on activity to learn.  They should not just observe.

It is important to work on visual and motor skills to keep all learning styles working and feeling successful.  :)  A model is needed to aid in learning and confidence.  :)

This could be a good number recognition one-on-one activity if needed.  The students will then have it to work and self-correct.  I would laminate it for the children that need extra practice.  Sending a set home is a good idea too.  :)

Start out with different first letters and see if they can find their name.  It is good to challenge preschoolers when they are able to recognize their name starts with a certain uppercase letter.
